The population in underserved regions, including tribal communities, faces a triple health burden. Malnutrition and communicable diseases like Malaria and tuberculosis are widespread. Rapid urbanization, environmental distress, and changing lifestyles contribute to the rise of non-communicable diseases such as Cancer, Hypertension, and Diabetes. Additionally, there is a growing burden of mental illnesses and addiction.Communities in diverse geographical regions, especially vulnerable populations like tribes, require adequate healthcare facilities. Addressing this challenge involves deploying appropriate SIDDHA (traditional Indian medicine) human resources and designing tailored service packages. SIDDHA Mobile Medical Units aim to deliver preventive, promotive, and curative services, facilitating referrals. This initiative improves access to both general healthcare and SIDDHA interventions in remote areas of the country.
